Charlie Brown Electric LLC ("Charlie Brown Electric," "we," "us," or "our") operates charliebrown-electric.com. This policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, and what we do with it.
Who we are
Charlie Brown Electric LLC is a licensed residential electrical contractor serving Charlotte, North Carolina and the surrounding area, including Matthews, Mint Hill, Huntersville, Lake Norman, Concord, and Pineville. We install and upgrade electrical services, panels, and meters, install EV chargers and RV outlets, install generator outlets, handle lighting and ceiling fans, troubleshoot electrical problems, and wire additions and new construction.

How we collect information
We collect only what we need to quote and perform electrical work.
- Information you give us. When you fill out a form on this site, we collect your name, email address, phone number if you choose to provide one, the type of work you need, and anything you write in the message field.
- Information collected automatically. Our host records standard server logs — IP address, browser type, pages visited, and the date and time of the visit. We use cookies only as described below.
Providing a phone number is optional. You can request a quote without one.
How we use information
- To respond to your request and give you a quote
- To schedule, confirm, and remind you about appointments
- To follow up after work is completed
- To send you promotional messages, but only if you have separately asked us to
- To keep records of work performed, estimates, and invoices
SMS/Text Message Privacy
If you have opted in to receive SMS/text messages from us, we are committed to protecting your privacy regarding these communications:
- No Data Sharing: All text messaging originator opt-in data and consent information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding the aggregators and providers necessary to deliver the SMS service.
- Marketing Restrictions: Your mobile information will not be shared with any third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.
- Limited Use: Your SMS opt-in data will only be used for the specific purposes you have consented to, such as appointment confirmations and reminders, reschedule and cancellation notices, post-service follow-up, replies to inquiries you send us, and promotional messages you've explicitly opted into.
- Opt-Out Control: You can stop receiving text messages at any time by texting "STOP" to 980-410-8545. Upon doing so, we will confirm your opt-out status via SMS and will cease sending you text messages.
Consent is collected on the forms on this website through two separate checkboxes — one for service messages and one for marketing messages. Neither box is required to submit the form, neither is checked for you, and providing a phone number is optional. Message frequency varies and message and data rates may apply. No mobile information will be shared with third parties/affiliates for marketing/promotional purposes. Information sharing to subcontractors in support services, such as customer service, is permitted. All other use case categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except for aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
Who processes your information
We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not provide it to anyone for their own marketing. A small number of service providers process information on our behalf, under contract, and only so that we can run the business:
- Our customer relationship management system, which receives form submissions and stores your contact record and our correspondence with you
- Our website host, which serves the site and keeps standard server logs
- Our accounting system, which holds estimates, invoices, and payment records
These providers act on our instructions. They are not permitted to use your information for their own purposes.
We may disclose information where the law requires it, such as in response to a valid legal request, or where it is necessary to protect the safety of a person or property.
Cookies and tracking
This site uses only the cookies needed to make it work and to record basic, aggregated visit statistics. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will still work.
Data security
Information is held in password-protected accounts with access limited to Charlie Brown Electric LLC and anyone we have engaged to help run the business. Traffic to and from this site is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we do not keep information we do not need.
How long we keep it
Records tied to work we performed, including estimates and invoices, are kept as long as our tax and warranty obligations require. Text messaging consent records are kept for as long as you remain opted in, and afterward as proof that consent was given and withdrawn.
Your choices
- Reply STOP or OUT to any text message to stop text messages
- Use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email to stop marketing email
- Email charlie@charliebrown-electric.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to ask us to delete it
Opting out of marketing does not stop messages about work already scheduled or in progress.
Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new effective date.
